ANTHONY IMPRESSES WITH EARLY APPEARANCE IN HEAT LOSS

Last Updated: February 09, 2010

CLEVELAND - When Miami centre Jermaine O'Neal was called for two quick fouls early in the Heat's 102-86 loss to Cleveland on Thursday, Canadian Senior Men's National Team centre Joel Anthony stepped in -- and made quite an impression.

Anthony led the Heat in scoring with eight points and added six rebounds (five offensive) in his first six minutes. He would play a total of 15 minutes, finishing with those eight points and eight boards.

With LeBron James at point guard for half the game because of the Cavaliers depleted backcourt, Cleveland was in control for much of the night. James finished with 36 points and eight assists.

Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 24 points, but 18 of those came in the first half.
