Last Updated: March 10, 2010

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Canadian Senior Men's National Team member Andy Rautins has been named to the All-Big East Conference Second Team.

Rautins, a senior guard for the Syracuse Orange, has averaged 11.6 points and a team-leading 4.8 assists and 2.1 steals per game in starting all 31 games. He finished tied for second in the Big East (conference games only) in free-throw percentage (.875), second in three-pointers made per game (2.78), fourth in steals (1.72) and tied for eighth in assists (4.22).

Syracuse forward Wes Johnson was named to the All-Big East First Team and freshman guard Brandon Triche made the all-rookie team.

The conference’s head coaches choose the all-conference teams but aren't allowed to vote for their own players.

Six players were named to the All-Big East First Team. The Big East Player of the Year will come from that list.

The other first-team selections announced Sunday are Greg Monroe of Georgetown, Luke Harangody of Notre Dame, Dominique Jones of the University of South Florida, Scottie Reynolds of Villanova and Da’Sean Butler of West Virginia.
