SAMUEL AUDET-SOW OF QUEBEC KEBS NAMED PBL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Last Updated: March 12, 2010
QUEBEC CITY - The Premier Basketball League (PBL) has named Samuel Audet-Sow of the Quebec Kebs as the PBL Player of the Week for the week ending March 7.
This is the first time a Quebec player has earned Player of the Week honours this season.
Audet-Sow, a 6'5", 180-pound small forward from Laval University, was instrumental in ending the Kebs' nine-game losing streak, scoring a team-high 23 points in Quebec's 100-97 overtime win over Halifax Friday night. He made 9-of-11 free throws and pulled down eight rebounds in just the second win for the Kebs this season.
"I am very pleased with this honour," Audet-Sow said. "It's a nice pat on the back, though I feel that the honour really belongs to the whole team, because we all have been working very hard since the start of the season and we're very proud of our performance against the Rainmen last Friday. I am glad to hear the league has recognized our hard work."
Audet-Sow is ninth in the PBL in scoring at 18.4 points a game.
