TORONTO - Calling all hoops fans! It’s time for Toronto’s basketball mad fans to show your true colours – RED & WHITE – as Team Canada prepares for the biggest global basketball competition of 2010, the FIBA World Championship for Men, taking place this August in Turkey.
Leading up to this global hoops phenomenon, Team Canada will practise and compete on home soil. Catch the Red and White as they host the 2010 Jack Donohue International Classic at Air Canada Centre. See Team Canada take on the French National Basketball Team in a double-header Aug. 12-13, with tipoffs at 7:00 p.m. ET).
Games will feature stars from the NBA and around the globe like Canada’s Joel Anthony (Miami Heat) and Andy Rautins (New York Knicks), as well as Boris Diaw (Charlotte Bobcats), Nicolas Batum (Portland Trailblazers) and Rodrigues Beaubois (Dallas) from France.
