Canada Basketball’s Nccp Cb Super Clinic

Canada Basketball Coach Education, the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) University of Toronto and Ryerson University are excited to be hosting inaugural and largest basketball coaching clinic dedicated to supporting Canadian basketball coaches– the Canada Basketball NCCP Super Clinic.


The 9-gym, 9-classroom clinic will take place over one-weekend (May 29-31) at University of Toronto and Ryerson University.

COURSES & PRESENTERS:
There will be 10 conference streams to choose from, which are categorized by NCCP course or professional development based on athlete development age group.

Ten current or former Canadian national team coaches will present, including senior men’s head coach Jay Triano. Toronto Raptors alumni, assistant coach, Jama Mahlalela and strength and conditioning coach Jon Lee will also be available (dependant on NBA playoffs).

FIBA Presenter and former Serbian national team player and coach, Nenad Trunic, will also bring an insightful international presence to the clinic.

Trunic was the Head Coach of Serbia’s U17 Men in 2010, led the team to a 5th place at the World Championships. Since 2008, he’s acted as a Member of Experts Committee of Serbian Basketball Federation.

A headline instructor for the FIBA European Coaching Certificate, Trunic is also a Professor on the College of Sport and Health at University of Belgrade with a Ph.D in Management of Basketball Training Technology.  

Trunic played with BC “Red Star” and several other Belgrade professional teams and has also played professionally in Italy, Turkey, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary and Austria.  Prof Trunic also played in European Championships and won a Silver medal at World Juniors.

Registration for the NCCP Super Clinic is available for Canadian coaches on Game Plan for $235 CAD.  

International coaches or coaches not on Game Plan that are interested to register for $295 CAD can contact Coach Education.
