The Senior Women's National Team is coming off a great start to the summer having won the Gold Medal at the Pan Am Games in Toronto. The next step for them is to qualify for the 2016 Olympics Games in Rio de Janeiro by winning the FIBA Americas Tournament taking place in Edmonton. Leading up to the Americas Tournament we spoke to our SWNT members and they gave us their thoughts on a few things and here's what they had to say. Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe speaks about what the goal is for the team heading into the Americas Tournament.

At the FIBA Americas Championship, the team goal is to qualify for the 2016 Olympics and to do that we need to win in Edmonton or come in second place. But we also want to show the people in Canada what the Senior Women's team is all about and how we play.

Personally, my goal is learn from every game, to get better and improve myself and I think that's what we all are looking to do as players. Winning the Gold at the Pan Am Games shows that we are on the right track towards where we want to be. There are some things that we can always be better at and for us to think that we are where we want to be is not really true.

Our biggest obstacle at this point is remaining composed under pressure, especially at home in Edmonton. I think - especially after the Pan Am Games - that we are expected to win and we just have to keep focused on our goal and not crumble.
