Team Saskatoon Wins Fifth 3x3 Canada Quest Title In Edmonton

TORONTO, ON (June 6, 2017)- Team Saskatoon defended their title this past weekend in the Adult Male (over 17 Male) division final at the 2017 3x3 Canada Quest series stop in Edmonton, Alberta. Nolan Brudehl, Mike Lieffers, Michael Linklater and Steve Sir completed the competition with a 4-0 record and won 21-5 against Northside Pride (Antonio Cooper, Patrick Chamberlin, Dustin Gatzki and Calvin White).

Both teams will now compete at the Canada Quest National Finals at West Edmonton Mall from July 7-8, where they will look to qualify for the 3x3 World Tour stop in Saskatoon.

3x3 Canada Quest's next stop is Hamilton, Ontario for a June 17-18 event at McMaster University. Registration is still open for this event and all the upcoming 3x3 events taking place in Halifax (June 24-25), Winnipeg (June 24-25) and Richmond (July 1-2).

About 3x3 Canada Quest

3x3 Canada Quest is Canada Basketball's national 3x3 series, which culminates at the Canada Quest Final in Edmonton, AB. The top two teams then earn a berth to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour event in Saskatoon.

This international 3x3 basketball event will take place in conjunction with Taste of Saskatchewan on July 14-16, 2017. In addition to the 2017 event, Saskatoon will host the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Masters in 2018 and 2019, securing the rights to the event for three years.
