TORONTO (June 1, 2025) — Canada Basketball has announced the U16 Women’s National Team training camp roster, as the team begins final preparations for the upcoming FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup 2025.
The training camp runs from June 1–10 at Humber College in Toronto, where the selected athletes will train and compete for a spot on the final 12-player roster set to represent Canada at the continental championship in Irapuato, Mexico, from June 16–22.
Fabienne Blizzard returns as head coach after leading Canada to a silver medal at the FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup 2023, and again at the FIBA U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2024.
The FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup 2025 also serves as a qualifier for the FIBA U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026.
