TORONTO, ON (6 JUIN 2017) – Les responsables du programme de haute performance de Canada Basketball sont heureux de présenter les noms des membres de l’équipe nationale masculine des moins de 16 ans (U16) qui représenteront le pays au Championnat des Amériques de la FIBA qui se tiendra à Formosa en Argentine à compter du 14 juin prochain.

« Nous sommes très satisfaits du niveau de jeu que nous avons vu lors du camp de sélection et nous sommes enthousiastes à l’idée de poursuivre notre travail avec ce groupe de jeunes joueurs en vue du Championnat des Amériques de la FIBA » a déclaré Craig Beaucamp, l’entraîneur en chef.

L’équipe poursuivra sa préparation à Toronto jusqu’au 9 juin et s’envolera ensuite pour l’Argentine pour terminer sa préparation en vue du tournoi. Elle croisera le fer contre l’équipe du pays hôte lors de la première rencontre du tour préliminaire. Le calendrier complet du Championnat des Amériques de la FIBA peut être consulté ici.

L’équipe canadienne tentera se qualifier en vue des Championnats mondiaux des moins de 17 ans (U17) pour une 5ème fois consécutive.

Le Canada est présentement classé troisième rang dans la catégorie Jeunes hommes de la Fédération internationale de Basketball (FIBA).

Les noms des joueurs sélectionnés, des entraîneurs ainsi que ceux des membres du personnel de soutien apparaissent aux tableaux ci-après.
