TORONTO, ONT. (March 22, 2019) - Canada Basketball is pleased to announce the 12 athletes invited to the U19 Women's National Age-Group Assessment Camp at Athlete Institute in Orangeville, Ontario from March 26-28.

Head Coach Claire Meadows (University of Saskatchewan) will be joined by assistants Ryan Thorne (McGill University) and Erin McAleenan (York University).

“I’m looking forward to another successful training camp as we prepare for the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup 2019 this summer,” said head coach Claire Meadows.  “It is always an honour to work with and prepare our top athletes for the international stage.”

The objective of the camp is to provide a national training environment with international focus to top identified athletes born in 2000 and later.  Players will continue to be evaluated by national team coaches and technical staff for the purposes of identifying those who will be invited to the represent Canada this summer.

“We would like to thank and recognize Jesse Tipping and Athlete Institute in Orangeville for their very generous support and hosting of our U19 Women's National Age-Group Assessment Camp,” said Denise Dignard, Director, Women’s High Performance.  “The opportunity to have our young NextGen athletes from across the country come together to train and compete is invaluable to our growth and success.”
