Basketball BC Hall of Fame Committee Chair, John Buis, noted “We are very proud of this year's Hall of Fame Inductees. Allison McNeill, Tim Frick, Rich Chambers, Dean McKinnon, Teresa (Kleindienst) Gabriele and Phil Ohl have each made outstanding contributions to basketball and brought great credit to themselves and British Columbia through their accomplishments in our sport.”

• Numerous Canada Basketball Coaching appointments including U19 World Championship team
• Provincial Team Head Coach Basketball BC – numerous
• UBC, SFU & UVIC coaching positions

Tim Frick

• 30+ years of coaching locally, regionally, provincially, nationally and internationally
• Head Coach of BC Breakers Women’s Provincial Team for 10 years
• Head Coach of Canadian Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team National Team from 1990 – 2009
• Pioneered the creation of a national team training centre I n BC in cooperation with Canadian Sport centres

Teresa Gabriele

• NAIA All American (1999, 2000) and NAIA Tournament MVP 2000
• Canadian National Team Player for 13 years
  o   Starter from 2001-12
  o   Represented Canada at two Olympics – 2000 and 2012
  o   Represented Canada at World Championships and Pan Am Games
• Played professionally in Europe 2002-04

Dean MacKinnon

• Wheelchair and stand up basketball official for 40 years
• Officiated at High school provincials, universities, Canada Summer games, international wheelchair tournaments and stand up basketball games
• Has been awarded “Official of the Year” by BC Wheelchair Basketball – 2000, 2005, and 2010
• 2003 – J.A. “Wink” Willox award by CABO

Allison McNeill

• Simon Fraser University Head Coach for 13 years
  o   Record 363-79 (.821)
• Assistant coach at University of Oregon
• Head Coach of the Canadian National Women’s Team since 2001-2012
  o   Coached the Canadian Women’s National Team at the 2012 Olympic Games to top Eight result
• Basketball BC Head Coach centre for Performance
• Has given clinics to all levels of coaches, emphasizing coaches of youth.
  o   Mentored over 1000 coaches and been a positive role model for 1000’s of players

Phil Ohl
