TORONTO, Ont. (March 25, 2020) - Due to the changing circumstances surrounding COVID-19, Canada Basketball has decided to postpone the 2020 Canada Basketball Super Clinic originally scheduled for May 15-17 in Markham, ON.
We considered many factors before arriving at this conclusion. With the current trajectory of the COVID-19 pandemic still rising, protecting the health, safety, and well-being of our attendees, vendors, speakers, staff and our communities is of the utmost importance. Consistent with that principle and in accordance with the recommendations from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and Canada Basketball senior leadership team, the 2020 Canada Basketball Super Clinic will be postponed to a later date (to be determined).
While we are disappointed to postpone our annual event, we believe this is the right decision to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved, and in trying to slow the transmission of this pandemic to curb the extent of its spread across Canada. All registered attendees will be refunded fully as soon as possible. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused, but we know it is in the best interest of everyone that we do not proceed at this point in time.
Canada Basketball has been and will continue to closely monitor all COVID-19 developments in consultation with all public health authorities and relevant governing bodies. We will communicate to all stakeholders when a rescheduled date is available.
Thank you for your understanding and please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
