TORONTO, Ontario (June 11, 2024) - Tristan Beckford and Aaliyah Edwards have been named the Toyota Canada Players of the Week for June 10-14.

The Canadian U18 Men’s National Team went 4-2 and captured Bronze at the FIBA U18 Men’s AmeriCup over the past week, qualifying for the FIBA U19 Men’s Basketball World Cup 2025. Tristan Beckford was a consistent presence, averaging a team-high 13 points per game and 7.3 rebounds throughout the week. He was named a tournament All-Star 5.

Senior Women’s National Team member Aaliyah Edwards had a record week, averaging 14 points per game and 10.3 rebounds over her last four games with the Washington Mystics. Edwards hit a career-high 23 points and 14 rebounds against the Chicago Sky in a tight loss last Thursday, going 10-12 from the field.
