MONTRÉAL (June 19, 2026) – Canada Basketball announced today the athletes who will attend the Senior Women’s National Team training camp from June 20-28 in Montréal, Que., as preparations begin for the FIBA Women’s Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament 2026 in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The training camp marks the first on-court gathering of Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team ahead of a pivotal summer campaign that begins the Road to LA 2028.
“This camp marks the beginning of our journey toward LA 2028,” said Steve Baur, Vice-President and General Manager, Women’s High Performance. “Bringing our athletes and staff together in Montréal allows us to continue building on the culture, standards and foundation we’ve established as a program. This roster reflects the depth of talent emerging through our pathway, and we're excited to continue building toward sustained success on the international stage.”
The roster features a mix of established national team veterans and emerging talent from Canada’s high-performance pathway, including athletes with experience at the Olympic Games, FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, FIBA Women's AmeriCup and various age-group national team competitions.
Following the training camp in Montréal, Canada will travel to Victoria, B.C., for a second training camp and an exhibition game against reigning NCAA national champion UCLA on July 22 as part of W'HOOP IT UP at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.
Tickets for W'HOOP IT UP are on sale now through Ticketmaster. The exhibition game is scheduled for July 22 at 7:00 p.m. PT.
Canada will then travel to Guadalajara, Mexico, for the FIBA Women’s Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament 2026 from Aug. 17-23. The tournament represents the first step on the Road to LA 2028, with the winner advancing directly to the FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments in March 2028.
