PARIS, France (June 17, 2024) - Canada’s path to the podium in its Olympic debut of 3x3 basketball is set, as the 3x3 Women’s National Team now has its schedule for this summer at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The women’s pool includes eight teams: Australia, Azerbaijan, Canada, China, France, Germany, Spain and the United States of America. All eight teams will play each other throughout the opening round.

- Canada-China (July 31, 12:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. MT)

- Canada-Germany (August 1, 3:30 a.m. ET / 1:30 a.m. MT)

- Canada-France (August 1, 4:00 p.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. MT)

After pool play, the eight teams will be ranked based on their records. The top two teams will advance directly to the semifinals, and the bottom two teams will be eliminated from the tournament. The other four teams will compete in the play-in round, with the winners moving on to the semifinals. The winners of the two semifinal games will advance to the gold medal game, while the losers will compete in the bronze medal game.

This is Canada’s first Olympic appearance in 3x3 basketball, successfully qualifying by finishing third at the FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in May 2024.

Last week, Canada Basketball and the Canadian Olympic Committee announced that Kacie Bosch, Paige Crozon, Katherine Plouffe, and Michelle Plouffe have been nominated to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
