TORONTO (Apr. 14, 2025) - Marcus Carr and Nyadieng Yiech have been named the Players of the Week for Apr. 7- 13. 

Carr had a standout week with Hapoel Upper Galilee Safed in the Israeli league, dropping a season high 28 points, along with nine rebounds and seven assists in a win over Hapoel Haifa. The Toronto, Ont. native is currently averaging 16 points, four rebounds and five assists on the season showing consistent all-around play. Carr last suited up for Canada at the third FIBA AmeriCup qualifying window in February, where he helped the Senior Men’s National team secure their spot in this summer’s tournament. 

Yiech continues to showcase her talent on the international stage, making her Nike Hoop Summit debut this past weekend. The Calgary, Alta. native suited up for Team World in their game against Team USA on April 12, where she scored 8 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and led her team with a plus-minus of +8. Yiech, who has committed to play for the University of Florida Gators for the 2025-26 NCAA season, was recently named Fort Erie International Academy's Canadian National Player of the Year. She last represented Canada at the 2024 FIBA U18 Women's AmeriCup, where the team earned a silver medal.
