TORONTO (September 24, 2025) - Nate Darling and Bridget Carleton have been named The Keg Size Players of the Week for September 15-21, presented by The Keg.
Sackville, N.S., native Nate Darling made his presence felt for Élan Chalon in Basketball Champions League qualification last week, scoring 25 points with two steals while shooting 60 per cent from three-point range in a win over Fribourg. Darling, who plays professionally in France, spent the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons with the G League’s San Diego Clippers, where he averaged 17.3 and 19.6 points per game, respectively. He last suited up for Canada at the 2025 FIBA Men’s AmeriCup where the team finished fifth, highlighted by a 22-point performance against Panama.
Carleton continues to make her mark with the Minnesota Lynx as the team opened its WNBA playoff run against the Golden State Valkyries last week. After taking a commanding 1-0 series lead, the Chatham, Ont., native stepped up in Game 2 with 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc, adding two rebounds and an assist to help the Lynx edge out a 75-74 series win. Later in the week, Carleton hauled in eight rebounds in Game 1 of the semifinals as Minnesota rolled to an 82-69 victory over the Phoenix Mercury. She last represented Canada at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
