Ennis, Potter named Players of the Week

TORONTO (Apr. 22, 2025) - Tyler Ennis and Emily Potter have been named the Players of the Week for Apr. 14-20. 

Suiting up for Reyer Venezia in the Italian Lega Basket Serie A, Ennis dropped a game-high 26 points this week along with seven rebounds while shooting 61.5% from the field. The product of Brampton, Ont. has been having a successful regular season, averaging 15 points, three rebounds, and five assists. Ennis last represented Canada with the Senior Men’s National Team during the 2016 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Manila.

Potter earns Player of the Week status for the second time this year thanks to another standout performance with Crvena Zvezda in the Serbian league. The Winnipeg, Man. native put up a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds along with four assists in a huge 91-57 victory over ZKK Kraljevo. Just last month, Potter led her team to Serbian Cup glory, contributing another double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. She last suited up for Canada with the Senior Women’s National Team in Victoria this past summer as part of their Olympic training camp roster in an exhibition game against Portugal.
