First Loss for Development Women's National Team as Usa All-stars Win 63-48

TORONTO, ON – The Development Women’s National Team is 4-1 after losing their first game of the exhibition tournament 63-48 to the USA All-Stars.

“Tough loss for us today. We made things difficult at times but had lots of open shots we couldn’t make,” said Head Coach Fabian McKenzie. “They are a team that knows how to score and did when it mattered. Tomorrow will be a tough finish for us versus the Czech Republic. We will refocus and bring our ‘A’ game tomorrow.”

Due to a computer malfunction, there is no statistics available for this game.

“As coach says, it was a tough loss tonight. The U.S. came out strong and making shots. Even though we had many opportunities, our shots didn’t fall today. We are determined to come back strong and to follow the game plan for our last game in China tomorrow,” said Korissa Williams, who played in the 2013 FISU Games.

Tomorrow is the final game of the exhibition tour and the team will move on to Korea for the FISU Games.
