Vollett, Maxence-Prosper named Players of the Week

TORONTO (July. 21, 2026) - Frances Vollett and Olivier Maxence-Prosper have been named Players of the Week for July. 13-19

Forward Frances Vollett of Brantford, Ont., continued to make headlines on the international stage with a stellar performance at the 2026 FIBA U17 Women’s World Cup, leading Canada from the opening tip off to the final buzzer. Although Canada finished fourth overall in the tournament, Vollett earned a spot on the tournament’s All Star Five after averaging 12.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. She scored in double figures in four of Canada’s six games, highlighted by a tournament high performance in Canada’s thrilling quarterfinal victory over China. With Canada mounting a comeback, Vollett secured a crucial offensive rebound before scoring the game winning basket to give Canada a one point lead over a talented Chinese squad. Throughout the tournament, Vollett made an impact on both ends of the floor, using her rebounding ability and versatility to help Canada compete against the world’s top teams. Vollett most recently represented Canada with the U17 Women’s National Team at the 2026 FIBA U17 Women’s World Cup in Brno, Czechia.

6’8 forward Olivier-Maxence Prosper from Montreal, Quebec, made a strong impact during the 2026 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas with the Memphis Grizzlies. Appearing in four games, Prosper averaged 15 points and 4 rebounds per game, establishing himself as a key contributor for the squad. The Grizzlies’ Summer League team finished second overall, falling short to the Golden State Warriors in the championship game. Prosper recorded his Summer League scoring high against the Utah Jazz, finishing with 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in 23 minutes of action. Throughout the tournament, Prosper showcased his versatility on both ends of the floor, using his size, athleticism, and defensive presence to make an impact in a variety of roles. His strong Summer League performance continues to highlight his growth and potential as he prepares for the upcoming NBA season. Prosper most recently represented Canada with the U23 Men’s National Team at GLOBL JAM in 2023.
