Gray, Carleton named Players of the Week

TORONTO (May. 20, 2026) - Bridget Carlelton and Kadre Gray have been named Players of the Week for May. 11-17.

Hailing from Chatham, Ont., veteran Bridget Carleton opened her seventh WNBA season with the Portland Fire after being selected first overall in the league’s expansion draft prior to the 2026 season. Carleton has scored in double figures in each of Portland’s first four games, highlighted by a standout 26 point, 4 steal performance against the New York Liberty where she shot 45% from beyond the arc, knocking down five three pointers. Carleton continues to make an immediate impact for the Fire in their inaugural season. Bridget last suited up for Canada with the Senior Women’s National Team at the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup qualifying tournament in Istanbul, Turkey, in March.

With Śląsk Wrocław in the Polish Basketball League, Toronto, Ont., native Kadre Gray has continued to lead the way during the club’s playoff run. Through Games 1 and 2 of the quarterfinals against Arka Gdynia, the 6'1” guard averaged 21 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds while making an impact on both ends of the floor. With Śląsk Wrocław currently sitting third in the league standings, Gray continues to play a major role as the team pushes deeper into the postseason. Kadre last suited up for Canada with the Senior Men’s National Team during the 2025 FIBA AmeriCup Qualifiers in Managua, Nicaragua.
