TORONTO, Ontario (June 4, 2024) - Kaza Kajami-Keane and Kia Nurse have been named the Toyota Canada Players of the Week for June 3-7.

Coming off a historic run in the FIBA Europe Cup, Senior Men’s National Team member Kaza Kajami-Keane finds himself in the semi-finals of the German BBL playoffs with BV Chemnitz 99. The team is currently fighting against #2 seed Alba Berlin. Kajami-Keane averaged 13 points, two rebounds, five assists, and two steals off the bench to put his team up 2-1 in the series. Kajami-Keane most recently participated in the opening window of the FIBA Men's AmeriCup 2025 Qualifiers for Canada, where the SMNT went 2-0 against Nicaragua. 

Building off a memorable win in Edmonton in the second annual WNBA Canada Game, Kia Nurse has continued her shooting spark in LA. The Sparks went 1-2 over the course of the week, and Nurse averaged 17 points per game on 42.9 percent shooting from three. Nurse’s strong shooting week included a 22-point performance in a win against the Indiana Fever, where she made five threes.
