TORONTO (Jan. 20, 2025) - Xaivian Lee and T’yana Todd have been named the Players of the Week for Jan. 13-19.
Lee continues to put up remarkable performance after remarkable performance for the Princeton Tigers. The junior guard shined in a thrilling 81-80 victory against the Dartmouth Big Green, scoring 33 points – tying his career high – eight rebounds, three assists, and hitting the game winning triple. Just last month, the Toronto, Ont. product recorded the first triple double in program history with 18 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists against the Saint Joseph’s Hawks on December 3. Lee last suited up for Canada at the FIBA U19 Men’s Basketball World Cup in 2023, where he led the team in points and assists.
The Boston College Eagles guard put up a career-high 29 points — shooting 55.6 per cent from the field — to go along with six rebounds and two assists in a conference win over the Miami Hurricanes. Her performance was highlighted by eight 3-pointers, tying the program’s single-game mark, and the most triples in an ACC game this season. The Toronto, Ont. native last represented Canada at the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup in 2023, where the team won bronze.
