Riley turned in a huge week for the Washington Wizards, averaging 25 points across four games and continuing his strong play at the NBA level. The Canadian guard caught fire over the weekend, delivering back-to-back 30-point performances on April 4 and 5 to cap off an impressive stretch. Riley’s scoring outburst highlighted a standout week in which he consistently produced offensively and showed exactly why he remains one of Canada’s brightest young talents.
Makeer came through in a major way for South Carolina during its NCAA Women’s Tournament run, putting together an outstanding three-game stretch on the biggest stage. The freshman scored a career-high 18 points against TCU, followed it up with 14 points against UConn to help send the Gamecocks to the national championship game, and then added 11 points in the national final against UCLA. After making an impact throughout the season, Makeer elevated her play in March when it mattered most, emerging as a key piece in South Carolina’s championship push.
