For one night only, the Queens of the Court ruled the Nike Crown League.
A packed house at Kerr Hall on the campus of Ryerson helped give a special Rio 2016 send-off to the Canadian women's basketball team during a pre-game ceremony in Toronto on Friday night.
Iconic T-Dot rapper Kardinal Offishall emceed the occasion, while the 416 Beats Drumline marched Team Canada onto the hardwood and a quartet of young ballers proudly displayed a giant Canadian flag.
The 12 players who will represent Canada in Rio linked arm in arm during a stirring rendition of the national anthem. Team Canada was also presented with a commemorative ball by Crown League.

Team Canada is making its second consecutive trip to the Olympics, and plays its first game in Rio against China on August 6.
