TORONTO, Ont. (April 24, 2023) - Kassius Robertson and Cassandra Brown have been named the Toyota Canada Players of the Week for April 17 - 23.
Robertson continued to build upon his strong season in Spain, scoring a career-high 44 points Monbus Obradoiro in an Liga ACB clash with Cazoo Baskonia. The Torontonian shot 14-21 from the field, including 9-14 from three and 7-7 from the free-throw line, helping him score 20+ points for the sixth time during the Liga ACB regular-season. The Vernon, B.C. product noticed back-to-back 20+ point performances this past week in Mt. Gambier wins. Brown had 23 points, nine rebounds and six assists on Apr. 14, before recording a season-high 24 points, to go along with 11 rebounds on Apr. 16, helping the Pioneers move to 4-0.
