TORONTO (May 29, 2026) — Canada Basketball has announced the U18 Women’s National Team training camp roster as the team begins final preparations for the upcoming FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup 2026.

Following April’s Selection Camp fuelled by Gatorade, which featured the country’s top athletes, the program enters its next stage as athletes continue competing for a place on the final roster ahead of this summer’s competition.

“We’re excited about this group.” said Steve Baur, General Manager and Vice-President of Women’s High Performance at Canada Basketball. “For a U18 roster, they bring an incredible amount of experience within the Canada Basketball program, along with some impactful new faces. Our focus has been on building the habits, mindset, and approach needed for sustained success.”

The team will train at Humber College in Toronto from May 30 to June 5 before travelling to Irapuato, Mexico for the AmeriCup tournament taking place June 9 to 15.

Dianna Ros has been named head coach, marking her first appointment as a head coach within Canada Basketball’s women’s high-performance program. Courtnay Pilypaitis and Claire Meadows will serve as assistant coaches.

“Dianna has quickly risen within our system and earned recognition beyond it.”, Baur continued. “We believe the experience she brings from across our age-group teams, Senior Women’s National Team exposure, and work with our 3x3 program will be a major asset to this group. She’s also surrounded by an outstanding staff in Claire, Courtnay, and Hali — a group that knows exactly what it takes to succeed at the highest level.”

The final 12-athlete roster for the FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup 2026 will be announced prior to the start of competition in Irapuato.
