Zach Edey, Emily Potter Named Toyota Canada Players of the Week
TORONTO, Ont. (October 15, 2024) – Zach Edey and Emily Potter have been named the Toyota Canada Players of the Week for Oct 7 - 12.
The NBA preseason is underway with the Memphis Grizzlies going 3-1, including a 120-116 win over the Indiana Pacers on Monday night. Toronto native Edey had an impressive performance scoring 23 points and grabbing nine rebounds for the Grizzlies, shooting 10-for-15 from the floor in 18 minutes of action. Edey was the 9th pick in the 2024 NBA draft, and most recently played for the Senior Men’s National Team in the World Cup in the 2023.
The Crvena Zvezda secured another victory this season over Kraljevo, with a score of 80 - 65 in this past weekend’s game in the Basketball league of Serbia. With this win, they now have a 3 - 0 undefeated record. Potter delivered a dominant performance, scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and two assists. Potter last played for the Senior Women’s National Team in Victoria for an exhibition game in June 2024 at the Pre-Olympic training Camp.
