15 Athletes Selected To Attend Senior Women's Phase 2 Training Camp

TORONTO, ON (June 14, 2016) - Today, Canada Basketball announced the 15 athletes who will participate in Phase 2 of the Women's National Team Program Assessment camp from June 19-26 in Edmonton, AB.

"This second phase of training is focused on developing our athletes as we assess our path forward to the FIBA Women's AmeriCup," said Lisa Thomaidis, Head Coach, women's national team. "The exhibition tournament in China will help determine what we need to build upon as we progress to the final phase of training."

The Team will travel to China for a six-game exhibition tournament against China, Lithuania and Belarus from July 1st-8th.

The tournament tips-off on July 1rst against 24th-ranked Lithuania at 7:30 AM EST. Canada, currently 6th in FIBA World Rankings, will then face-off against 12th-ranked Belarus and 10th-ranked China.
