TORONTO (October 1, 2026) — Canada Basketball announced Thursday the 16 athletes attending the 3x3 Senior Men’s National Team training camp in Toronto ahead of the upcoming FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup 2026.
Athletes will train at Humber Community Gym from October 1-4.
“Over the past number of years, we’ve evaluated what a gold-medal profile looks like across different positions, and a key focus for us is continuing to grow the athlete pool and identify players who fit that profile,” said Phil Jevtovic, Assistant General Manager, Men’s 3x3 and High-Performance Analytics. “We’re looking for size, athleticism, physicality, defence and a variety of different skill sets, while leveraging the strengths of our Canadian athletes and getting them up to speed in 3x3 as quickly as possible.”
Veteran leadership continues to make a presence in camp, with Jérôme Desrosiers and Marek Klassen – both key members of Canada’s historic third-place team at the 2024 3x3 AmeriCup – returning after competing at the 2025 edition of the tournament last November.
Bikramjit Gill returns to 3x3 action after competing with the Senior Men’s team at the FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2024, while Adam Paige brings prior 3x3 success as a member of Canada’s bronze medal-winning team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, which marked the debut of 3x3 basketball at the event.
Samuel Alamutu, Keon Baker, Isaiah Bujdoso, Wilson Dubinsky, Cyrus Huggard-Noel, Gatluak James, Mutombo Kalambay, Stanley Mayambo, Jasman Sangha and Fareed Shittu were selected from Canada Basketball’s Open ID Session on Sept. 30.
“The focus is on continuing to grow the opportunities for athletes to play 3x3 in our country, learn more about the game and keep developing the game at the foundation level,” said Jevtovic.
Following training camp, four athletes will travel to San Salvador, El Salvador, for the FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup 2026, set for Oct. 28 to Nov. 1. The final roster will be announced prior to the start of competition.
