Prince Edward Island 57 – Alberta 51

P.E.I. was able to squeak by Alberta with a six point victory, 57-51.

Nikki Arsenault led the way for P.E.I. with a double-double racking up 22 points and 11 rebounds while Alexis MacInnis notched 13 points in the victory.

Alberta’s Claire Feasby scored a team-high 16 points in the match.

Saskatchewan 43 – Newfoundland 30

Saskatchewan opened up their second day of the tournament with a 43-30 win over Newfoundland.

The Saskatchewan team had a balance attack with Emily Dewey scoring 11 points and adding 8 rebounds, while Ella Johnson added 9 points and Lauryn Prokop with 11 boards in the win.

Ashley Collins scored 9 points with 3 steals for Newfoundland.

Manitoba 38 – Quebec 78

Quebec came out with a win today as the team defeated Manitoba 78-38.  

Juliette Gauthier led Quebec with 14 points and 4 rebounds. Trishia Villedrouin added 10 points to the win.

Faith Baiye had a game-high of 15 points for Manitoba.

Ontario 59 – British Columbia 38

Team Ontario slid by British Columbia in a 59-38 win on Tuesday.

Kendra VanLeeuwen had a big game for Ontario putting in a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Oksana Gouchie-Provencher also added 11 points for her team.

British Columbia’s Bobbi-Jo Colburn scored a game-high 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the contest.

Nova Scotia 70 – Prince Edward Island 25

Nova Scotia swept by Prince Edward Island in day two of action with a 70-25 victory.

Ariel Provo led Nova Scotia in scoring with a team-high 12 points adding 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Ty’keia Beals and Jayda Veinot both added 10 points towards the win.

Prince Edward Island’s Nikki Arsenault added 8 points and Taylor McAulay added 11 rebounds in the contest.

Newfoundland 43 – New Brunswick 74

New Brunswick defeated home team Newfoundland 74-43 in Tuesday’s action of the 15U National Championships.

Jillian Harris led New Brunswick with 11 points while adding 4 steals and 3 boards. New Brunswick had three other players in double figures in the contest (Sydney Saunders – 10, Katelyn Dunnett – 10, Vanessa Cummings – 10).

Newfoundland’s Breena Power had an outstanding performance with a game-high 15 points, while adding 9 rebounds and 7 steals.

15U MEN

Ontario 80 – Manitoba 44

Ontario continued their win streak with an 80-44 victory over Manitoba.

Ontario was led by Muhammed Kabeya who had 15 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals. Tyler Plummer added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the match.

Manitoba’s Eric Braganza added a team-high 10 points, while adding three boards.

Saskatchewan 95 – Territories 48

Saskatchewan blew by the Territories with a 95-48 victory in the 15U National Championships.

Saskatchewan was led by Brandon Bonneau who scored 15 points, adding 7 rebounds and 2 steals. Saskatchewan had 4 other players in double digits. Jesse Ducharme added a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Chris Carino came out with a great effort leading the Territories with 13 points and 7 rebounds.

Newfoundland 73 – Prince Edward Island 51

Newfoundland came out strong for a 73-51 victory over Atlantic rival, Prince Edward Island.

Brandon Bambrick had a monster performance for Newfoundland in the match contributing a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Christopher Tobbin added 13 points along with 8 rebounds.

Prince Edward Island was led by Matthew Connolly with 10 points in the match.

Alberta 74 – New Brunswick 70

In a very close match, Alberta pulled through in a 74-70 victory over New Brunswick.

Alberta had three players in double figures (Ogot Ogot 17, Aher Uguak 16, Jake Nielson 15). All contributed 23 rebounds together with a great team effort by everyone.

Despite the loss, New Brunswick’s Seongwoo Park had a stellar performance with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists just shy of a triple-double.

British Columbia 61 – Manitoba 50

British Columbia defeated Manitoba 61-50 in today’s action.

British Columbia was led by Colin McGrath who scored a game-high 24 points to go along with 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Howard Wang added 12 points and 2 assists.

Eric Braganza scored a team-high 19 points while adding 6 rebounds and 3 steals for Manitoba.

Territories 30 – Nova Scotia 90

Nova Scotia dominated the Territories in a 90-30 victory.

Nova Scotia had five players finish in double digits in the contest; Vernelle Johnson (15), Noah Smith (14), Ben West (14), Myron Willis (12) and Dakelle Brooks (12).

Chris Carino led the Territories with 13 points and 7 rebounds.
