British Columbia 81 – New Brunswick 33

After a tough loss to Saskatchewan, British Columbia recuperated to beat New Brunswick 81-33.

Jessica Castillo led the way in points for British Columbia with 12, grabbing a couple rebounds. Amanda Matsui added 11 points for the team.

Taylor Cooke scored 10 points and had 9 rebounds for New Brunswick.

Manitoba 52 – Prince Edward Island 64

Prince Edward Island extended their winning record beating Manitoba 64-52.

Alexis MacInnis had a fantastic game for PEI scoring a game-high 28 points. Jenna Mae Ellsworth contributed a double-double to the win scoring 14 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.

Keylyn Filewich had a great game for Manitoba raking in a double-double with 16 points and 17 rebounds.

Quebec 66 – Saskatchewan 34

Quebec defeated Team Saskatchewan 66-34 to make it to the championship final.

Myriam Leclerc led the way for Quebec with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Juliette Gauthier added 10 points towards the win.

Ella Johnson led Saskatchewan with 10 points in the contest.

Ontario 64 – Nova Scotia 46

Ontario defeated Nova Scotia 64-46 on their way to the championship final.  Nova Scotia will face off against Saskatchewan for the bronze.

Ontario’s Kendra VanLeeuwen had a game-high 17 points while adding 3 boards. It was a well-rounded team effort for Ontario.

Ty’keia Beals scored a team-high 12 points for Nova Scotia.

Newfoundland 32 – Alberta 46

Alberta played their last game of the tournament and defeated Newfoundland 46-32.

Summer Masikewich led the way for Alberta with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Alyssa Hoveling added 11 points for her team.

Sydney Van DeWiel led Newfoundland with 10 points.

15U MEN

Territories 46 – Newfoundland 68

Newfoundland opened the fifth day of the tournament with a 68-46 win over the Territories.

Brandon Bambrick had a stellar performance for Newfoundland scoring a game-high 29 points and grabbing 9 rebounds. Lyndon Boone added 12 points for Newfoundland while adding 7 rebounds and 5 assists.

Chris Carino led the way for the Territories with 18 points.

British Columbia 70 – New Brunswick 83

New Brunswick demonstrated a strong team effort by beating British Columbia 83-70.

New Brunswick put in a joint team effort with five players scoring in double digits (Seongwoo Park – 18, Leo Titarenko – 17, Alex Loughery – 16, Ethan Eddy – 15, Chris Spurrell – 11).

Chase Claypool scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds for British Columbia.

Nova Scotia 87 – Saskatchewan 83

Nova Scotia beat Saskatchewan 87-83.

Alex Carson led the way for Nova Scotia with an impressive 28 points and 8 rebounds. Chris Towle added 16 points and 8 assists in the contest.

Ja'shon Henry had a team-high 24 points for Saskatchewan.

Prince Edward Island 73 – Territories 49

Prince Edward Island defeated the Territories 73-49 in Friday’s action.

Cameron Paynter led the way for PEI with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for a fantastic, well-rounded performance. Andrew Gough added 10 points and 16 rebounds.

Chris Carino had another great performance scoring a game-high 24 points for the Territories.

Quebec 69 – Manitoba 51

Quebec beat out Manitoba in semi-final action, 69-51, and will play for gold.

Quebec’s William Boyer-Richard had a great performance with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

Daniel Sackey played a great game for Manitoba collecting a double-double scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

Ontario 87 – Alberta 69

Ontario took on Alberta and defeated them 87-69 on their way to the championship finals.

Tyler Plummer scored 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for Ontario to lead the way. Muhammed Kabeya and Josip Vrankic both added 14 points for Ontario.

Aher Uguak had a game-high 20 points while adding 4 rebounds and 5 assists.
