Winnipeg, Man. (Basketball Manitoba) – Basketball Manitoba is very excited to announce that Canadian National Team basketball coach Rich Chambers, Dawn Smyth and Ron Yeung of Canada Basketball and NBA Skills Coach Drew Hanlen will be headlining at its Super Coaches Clinic scheduled for October 25-26 in Winnipeg.  Coach Chambers will present for a total of 4.5 hours and Coach Hanlen will present for 2 hours over the 2 days and they join 6 other presenters to make up the two day event set for the University of Winnipeg which coincides with the province wide SAGE in-service day and the start of the WMBA community club season.  This marks the 5th year of the SCC and has become the largest Canadian based basketball coaches clinic in the country attracting nearly 400 coaches a year.  

Also scheduled to present at the 2 day event is Dave Taylor of the University of Regina, Kirby Schepp of the University of Manitoba and National Cadet Men's Assistant Coach, Tanya McKay of the University of Winnipeg and Dr. Scott Leckie of the Sport Medicine and Science Council of Manitoba.

One-day registration is only $85 or come to both days for $110.  Registration includes a Russell Athletic play-dri polo, a Wesmen and Bison Basketball Season Pass, lunch and a chance to win a trip to the NIKE Coaches Clinic next May in Las Vegas or a Team Prize Pack each valued at over $1500 each.  Deadline to register is Wednesday October 23 at 5:00 pm.  Don't miss the premier coaching event of the year!
