3x NBA Champion, Olympian and World University Gold Medalist, Bill Wennington, shares one of his favourite #BBALL125 Memories.
"It was 1983 and the team is in Edmonton Alberta for the World Student Games. The Opening Ceremonies were highlighted by the presence of Princess Diana and Prince Charles. I remember walking by them in awe snapping a picture, as Princess Diana seemed to be waving directly at me. It must have inspired the team and me because we won the gold medal beating the USA and Karl Malone, Charles Barkley and Kevin Willis in the semi-final game, and then Yugoslavia in the finals. Truly a great memory and proud moment in my life."
