TORONTO, Ont. (July 23, 2024) - Dillon Brooks and Agot Makeer have been named the Toyota Canada Players of the Week for July 22-26.

The Senior Men’s National Team wrapped up their pre-Olympic exhibition games this weekend with wins over Puerto Rico and France. Dillon Brooks was a leading presence, including Canada’s win over Puerto Rico, where he led the way with 21 points, five rebounds, three assists, and one steal. Brooks and the rest of the team are now travelling to Lille, France, where they will continue training before their first Olympic game on July 27.

Meanwhile, the U17 Women’s National Team made history this week by capturing silver at the FIBA U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2024, their best result at the tournament in Canadian history. Agot Makeer was a dominant force throughout the tournament, leading with 17.7 points per game and making the tournament’s All-Star 5.
