Bryan Crawford Named Canada Basketball Senior Director Of Operations

TORONTO, ON (October 23, 2015) - Canada Basketball is pleased to announce the hiring of Bryan Crawford as Senior Director of Operations.

Bryan will be an integral piece of our leadership team that continues to foster the growth of our game through the strategic priorities of coach education, domestic development and hosting."

Crawford joins Canada Basketball from Ontario University Athletics (OUA) having previously held the title of Director of Operations where he led all OUA operational activities, working with stakeholders in 23 sports.

"I am thrilled to be joining Michele and the team at Canada Basketball," said Crawford, a native of Hamilton, Ontario. "It's an extremely exciting time for the sport in our country, as we strive to bring the great game of basketball to Canadians from coast to coast and firmly establish ourselves as the leader in the sport internationally."

Crawford will officially begin his role on November 16th. The newly created position will be responsible for managing operations, with a focus on strengthening organizational alignment in the area of domestic development and hosting.

In addition to his extensive experience in operational planning with OUA, in 2011 Crawford retired from a seven-year CFL career with the Toronto Argonauts.  During his time with the Argos, Crawford served as both a team Captain and Player Representative on the CFL Players Association.
