FORMOSA, ARGENTINA (June 17, 2017) - Canada defeated Puerto Rico 81-66 in the semi-finals at the 2017 FIBA U16 Americas Championship. With this victory, Canada advances to the finals and will play the winner of the second semi-final game between Argentina and The United States of America.
Cashius McNeilly (Scarborough, ON) led Canada with 23 points and 9 rebounds while Shemar Rathan-Mayes (Toronto, ON) added 14 points and 4 rebounds. Benjamin Krikke (Edmonton, AB) and Taryn Todd (Vaughn, ON) combined for a total of 18 points.
