TORONTO (July 16, 2026) – Canada Basketball announced today the U21 men’s and women’s rosters set to compete at the FIBA 3x3 Nations League 2026 – Americas South in Asunción, Paraguay from July 20-26.
The Americas conference will feature six three-game tournaments in seven days, including daily pool play and a final. Teams earn tour standing points after each one-day event. The best-ranked team in the standings after the sixth day will be declared winners of their conference and qualify for the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup 2026 taking place September 15–19 in Wuhan, China.
Representing Canada on the U21 women’s roster are Tanah Becker (Winnipeg, Man.), Cyanne Coe (Bolton, Ont.), Hailey Franco-DeRyck (Etobicoke, Ont.), Taliyah Henderson (Vail, Arizona), Olivia Leung (Calgary, Alta.) and Taija Sta Maria (Mississauga, Ont.). The team will be led by Head Coach Shae Dheensaw.
Becker, Henderson, Leung and Sta Maria bring valuable age-group national team experience, while Coe and Franco-DeRyck are set to make their national team debuts. Five of the six have NCAA experience, with Franco-DeRyck rounding out the group after helping the TMU Bold capture the Critelli Cup championship this past season. Together, the group provides a strong blend of offensive firepower and defensive versatility.
Meanwhile, the U21 men’s roster will be represented by Joshua Ahayere (Morinville, Alta.), Cole Bekkering (Victoria, B.C.), Tyler Felt (Victoria, B.C.), Andrew McKenna (Kingston, Ont.), Nylan Roberts (Abbotsford, B.C.) and Andrew Urosevic (Kitchener, Ont.). The team will be led by Head Coach Jordan Jensen-Whyte.
All six athletes are set to make both their Canadian national team and 3x3 debuts. The group features a mix of NCAA and U SPORTS experience, with five athletes also having participated in previous Canada Basketball Easter Camps. Together, they form a well-rounded roster ready to compete on the international stage.
Canada opens play at the FIBA 3x3 Nations League 2026 on Monday, July 20, at Stop 1 of the competition, with both teams set to face Argentina. The women’s national team will tip off at 2:50 p.m. ET / 11:50 a.m. PT, followed by the men’s national team at 3:15 p.m. ET / 12:15 p.m. PT.
