TORONTO (August 1, 2025) – The FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series returns to Canadian soil this weekend as Edmonton hosts the next stop of the 2025 circuit, taking place August 1–2. Canada will be represented by two teams at the event: Canada and Toronto.
Canada’s 3x3 squad heads into the weekend with momentum, having captured bronze at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup last month in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Joining the roster are season veterans Kacie Bosch (Lethbridge, Alta.), Paige Crozon (Humboldt, Sask.), Saicha Grant-Allen (Hamilton, Ont.), and Katherine Plouffe (Edmonton, Alta.), rounding out a high-powered, podium-tested roster.
Canada enters the Edmonton Stop not only as the defending champions but as the two-time reigning winners of the Series event on home soil. With sights set on a three-peat, the group brings a combination of experience, chemistry, and winning pedigree into the heart of Alberta.
Alongside Team Canada, Team Toronto will also suit up in Edmonton, featuring a young and talented lineup. Jade Belmore (Regina, Sask.), Julia Chadwick (Ottawa, Ont.), Delaney Gibb (Raymond, Alta.), and Tara Wallack (Surrey, B.C.) form a dynamic squad built on speed, skill, and promise.
Belmore and Chadwick return to the Women’s Series stage, while Gibb and Wallack come off a strong showing at the 2025 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup, where Canada saw a thrilling, double-overtime bronze medal finish.
Canada enters the tournament ranked #1, while Toronto is ranked #12. Canada is currently ranked 6th (Women) and 13th (Combined) in the FIBA 3x3 Federation Rankings.
All games will be streamed live on CBC Sports and the FIBA 3x3 YouTube channel, with pool play beginning Friday, followed by knockout round action on Saturday. Toronto kicks off their run against Chile on Friday, August 1st at 6:00 PM ET / 4:00 PM MT, followed by Canada against Seattle 3XBA at 7:15 PM ET / 5:15 PM MT.
