TORONTO (October 20, 2015) - Canada Basketball's Manager of Coaching Education, Dawn Smyth, has been appointed to the FIBA Americas Youth Basketball committee.

The new 5-person committee will study all competitions and issues relating to youth basketball across the Americas.

"Dawn has done tremendous work with basketball development in Canada and she will no doubt be a great contributor to this prestigious committee," Michele O'Keefe, President & CEO, Canada Basketball.

O'Keefe, a member of the FIBA central board and Vice President of FIBA Americas, was also named to the FIBA Americas finance committee.
