TAIPEI CITY, TAIWAN (August 29, 2017) - Canada's FISU men's basketball team dropped their final game of the tournament 101-96 against Australia Tuesday evening to finish tenth at the 29th Summer Universiade.
Kaza Kajami-Keane led Canada with 25 points while Kevin Bercy had 22 points and 15 rebounds. Connor Wood also contributed to the offence with 20 points in 36 minutes of play in Canada's loss.

Canada established a 40-35 lead after the first quarter and would carry a 54-53 lead into halftime. A back-and-forth third quarter would see Australia fight back to tie the game 79-79, before overtaking Canada in the fourth for the win.
Canada finished the Preliminary Round with a 3-2 record and ranked third in their pool, narrowingly missing out on the chance to play for a medal. In the Classification Round, Canada defeated hosts Chinese Taipei 98-61 to move on to the 9th-12th place bracket where they defeated Czech Republic 97-79.
Kaza Kajami-Keane finished the tournament second in scoring, averaging 20.4 points per game and led the tournament with 22 steals in eight games.
