Wumi Agunbiade (Pickering, ON) – Duquesne, Jr.

Wumi has continued to have a great season with Duquesne. In two games last week (both wins), Wumi averaged 15 points and 8.5 rebounds per contest. Her best game came against Ohio, where she recorded 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a 62-55 win.  

Kayla Alexander (Milton, ON) – Syracuse, Sr.

Alexander has kept her great start to the season going last week. In three games (all wins) Alexander averaged 17.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.3 blocks per contest. Her best game was against Saint Joseph's, where she scored 20 points, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked eight shots, in a blowout win, 80-39.  

Dallin Bachynski (Calgary, AB) – Utah, So.

The seven foot centre from Calgary had a big game against Idaho State last week for Utah. In a 57-46 come-back victory for Utah, Bachynski scored a game-high 22 points and also a game-high 16 rebounds. Bachynski shot the ball very efficiently going 9-for-15 from the floor.

Anthony Bennett (Brampton, ON) – UNLV, Fr.

Bennett has continued his smooth transition from high-school to the college with UNLV. In two games last week, Bennett scored 22 points in each contest. In an 83-79 loss to Oregon, Bennett scored a game-high in points and added ten rebounds. In UNLV’s last game of the week against, Iowa State, UNLV was able to get back into the win column. Bennett led the way once again as he scored a game-high 22 points and added seven rebounds and four blocks in the 82-70 victory.

Lesha Dunn (Toronto, ON) – Cincinnati, Sr.

In the bearcats only game last week, Dunn was a key contributor against College of Charleston. Dunn shot 6-of-10 from the field for 17 points and added nine rebounds, as Cincinnati downed College of Charleston, 66-57.

Nirra Fields (Montreal, QC) – UCLA, Fr.

When UCLA took on Princeton on the weekend, Nirra Fields had her coming out party, as she showed UCLA what she is capable of doing on the basketball court. Off the bench, Nirra scored a game-high 26 points and added four rebounds and an assist to help UCLA fend off Princeton, 65-52. Nirra shot the ball extremely well, as she went 11-of-17 from the floor including 2-of-3 beyond the arc.

Kevin Pangos (Holland Landing, ON) – Gonzaga, So.

In the final of the Old Spice Classic, Pangos had his best game of the year, as he scored a season-high 23 points and added five boards and five assists, as he helped Gonzaga win the Old Spice Classic title, 81-67 over Davidson. In the game, Pangos showed off his range by hittin five 3-pointers and went 8-of-14 from the field.

Michelle Plouffe (Edmonton, AB) – Utah, So.

Plouffe was a rebound shy of recording a double-double, as she scored a game-high 18 points and nine rebounds, as she helped guide Utah to a 73-47 over Weber State. In a game earlier in the week, Plouffe became the third player on the team to record over 1,000 career points with Utah. In the game, Plouffe scored 14 points and added nine rebounds in a 62-55 win over Northern Colorado.

Dwight Powell (Toronto, ON) – Stanford, Jr.

Last week for Stanford, Powell was a big scoring threat for the Cardinals. Powell scored a game-high 22 points in a 66-63 loss to Minnesota. This marked the third time in his career he scored 20 or more points. In the previous game against Northern Iowa, Powell notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and grabbing ten rebounds, as the Cardinals went on to win, 66-50.

Marc Trasolini (Vancouver, BC) – Santa Clara, Sr.

Marc has continued his hot start to begin the season with Santa Clara. In three games last week (all wins) Marc averaged 23.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game in his three game stretch. His best game came against Utah Valley where he scored 27 points, seven rebounds and two blocks.  Marc has been a big reason why Santa Clara is off to their first-ever 5-0 start, to begin the season.
