As March becomes April the Madness is winding down, but there's still another jolt of college basketball action coming up this weekend with the Men's Final Four in Atlanta on Saturday and the Championship game on Monday, and the Women's Final Four in New Orleans on Sunday and Championship game on Tuesday.

The NCAA March Madness tournament tipped off several weeks ago with 29 Canadian men and seven Canadian women spread across a range of teams. As buzzers were beaten and underdogs rose to the challenge, we're left with five Canadians vying for the NCAA titles.

Mississauga's Nik Stauskas has played an integral role in Michigan's unlikely trip to the Final Four, the first in 20 years for the Wolverines. The 6-6 freshman guard has provided the outside shooting touch, passing ability and defensive tenacity that Michigan's starting unit needed. In the Elite Eight, Stauskas shot a perfect 6-for-6 from three-point range and scored 22 points in the win.

Michigan will play Syracuse in the Final Four, both teams entered the NCAA tournament as #4 seeds in their respective corners of the bracket. Syracuse features 6-6 forward Noel Jones who earned a spot on the team this year as a walk-on in his junior season. The native of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia has worked hard for his place on a high-quality Syracuse team that has its sights set on the Finals.

Tournament cinderella Wichita State entered the tournament as a #9-seed, but have since beat LaSalle and upset Pittsburgh, Gonzaga, and Ohio State to make it to the Final Four where they will meet the only remaining #1-seed, Louisville. The appropriately-named Shockers have been winningin a variety of ways bolstered by their deep bench featuring Canadians Chadrack Lufile, a 6-9 junior forward from Burlington, and Nick Wiggins, a 6-6 junior guard from Toronto.

On the Women's side, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish continue their run through the tournament when they take on the Connecticut Huskies in a matchup of two #1-ranked teams on Sunday. Natalie Achonwa, an Olympian with the Canadian Senior Women's team, has played a huge role for Notre Dame dominating in the paint and recording regular double-doubles. The 6-3 junior forward from Guelph had 17 points and 13 rebounds in Notre Dame's 87-76 win over Duke in the Elite Eight, and is helping her team remain tournament favourites.

Be sure to catch all of the action over the next four days when your Canadians play for NCAA glory in the Final Four and beyond.
