Canadian Die-Hards Top 3 Games

Monday Feb. 3rd 2014

Cavs at Mavs

This match-up should have its fair share of Canadian content. Tristan Thompson will be leading the frontline for the Cavs and facing recently selected All-Star Dirk Nowitzki. He will have to keep a high intensity on defense to stick with the sharp-shooting German. Anthony Bennett has seen a large increase in minutes since his breakout game against New Orleans and continues to show confidence in his game. As for the Mavs, Sam Dalembert will be handling his usual defensive duties and providing rim protection from a speedy and elusive Kyrie Irving and company.

Wednesday Feb. 5th 2014

Spurs at Wizards

Cory Joseph will be backing up Tony Parker in this game, along with Patty Mills. Coach Pop of the Spurs has been managing Parker’s minutes sparingly all season, as to keep his Big 3 fresh for the playoffs.  This bodes well for Joseph who is enjoying his largest increase in minutes since arriving in San Antonio.  He will have to contend with he likes of Martell Webster, Garrett Temple and Eric Maynor of the Wizards’ second unit on Wednesday evening.

Pistons at Magic

For whoever enjoys the rough stuff down under the basket, well then this is must-see TV. The Pistons have a massive frontcourt, headlined by André Drummond. Andrew Nicholson’s will have to be big on the glass and on the block for the Magic to succeed on Wednesday night. Look for him to get some more minutes to match up with the size of Detroit. The main concern for Nicholson and the rest of the Magic bigs will be to keep the Pistons out of the paint and shooting jump shots.
