The men’s U18 team started the day waiting to see who they would match up against in the quarter-finals. It came down to Romania and Switzerland, with Romania winning 16-14.
With the Canada’s quarter-final match set, they entered well rested with a bye into quarters. In a tight game in the quarters, as Canada has done throughout the tournament, they won 19-17. For the semi’s, Canada faced their southern neighbours, USA. Canada unfortunately, lost their first game in the tournament, 17-13.
Canada had a chance to play for a bronze medal against France. Canada maybe still distraught after losing their first game, were unable to produce much, as France went on to win 19-11.
The team comprising of Brody Clarke (Toronto, ON), Chris McComber (Nepean, ON), Marko Pirovic (Bolton, ON) and Troy Reid-Knight (Vaughn, ON) finished fourth at the FIBA U18 3x3 World Championship with an overall record of 8-2.
In the finals it will be USA vs. Serbia.
