Development Women Defeat Czech Republic 84-68 In Classification Round
TAIPEI CITY, TAIWAN (August 28, 2017) - The Development Women's National Team defeated the Czech Republic 84-68 Monday morning to finish seventh at the 29th Summer Universiade.
Paige Crozon led Canada with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Mariah Nunes added 16 points and five assists. Alex Kiss-Rusk also chipped in 14 points and four rebounds in Canada’s win.

Canada trailed Czech Republic 18-17 after a tight first quarter but fought back to take a 36-30 lead at the half. Canada would maintain their lead and pulled away in the second half en route to a 16-point win.

About the 2017 Summer Universiade
The Summer Universiade is a biennial international multi-sport event open to competitors who are at least 17 and less than 28 years of age as of January 1 in the year of the Games. Participants must be full-time students at a post-secondary institution (university, college, CEGEP) or have graduated from a post-secondary institution in the year preceding the event.
