VICTORIA, B.C., CANADA (June 29, 2020) - Announced today, Friends of Victoria Basketball to present We the West Basketball Festival, taking place within Victoria and across the Capital Region from June 15 to July 4, 2021. We the West Basketball Festival is poised to be Canada’s largest sporting and cultural event in 2021, inspiring social and economic recovery in the region and beyond. The three-week festival will celebrate basketball in all of its forms, from sport to music to art and the Canadian pursuit of Olympic Gold.

With additional programming still to be announced, We the West Basketball Festival will host the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament as well as a series of additional tournaments, exhibitions, and activations, including:

- Indigenous Basketball Tournament

- Wheelchair Basketball Tournament

- Capital City 3X3 Basketball Tournament

- Celebrate Canada & We the West Concert

- Outside the Lines: Court Mural Project
