Jahvon Blair, Delaney Gibb Named Toyota Canada Players of the Week
TORONTO, Ont. (Nov 19, 2024) – Jahvon Blair and Delaney Gibb have been named the Toyota Canada Players of the Week for Nov 11-17.
Last Saturday the Brigham Young Cougars secured a victory against Idaho State winning 77-68. Gibb dominated and led her team scoring 22 points, six rebounds and two assists. The Alberta native has averaged 20 points, four rebounds, and four assists in her first four games of the season. This past summer, Gibb last represented Canada Basketball at the Senior Women’s National training camp in Edmonton.
This past week has been huge for Blair, who has been averaging 30 points, three rebounds, and five assists while shooting 59% from behind the arc. His impressive performance has led his team to two recents wins for the Poitiers in the French Pro B league. The Oakville native last played for Canada during the FIBA Men’s Basketball World Cup Qualifiers in Edmonton last year.
