Kabengele, Edwards named Keg Size Players of the Week

TORONTO (September 10, 2025) - Mfiondu Kabengele and Aaliyah Edwards have been named The Keg Size Players of the Week for September 1-7, presented by The Keg.

At the FIBA Men’s AmeriCup 2025 in Managua, Nicaragua late last month, Kabengele proved to be a steady presence for Canada. The Burlington, Ont., native averaged 12.3 points and 5.7 rebounds across six games, providing consistent production on both ends of the floor. His efforts were rewarded with a spot on the All-Star Second Team, underscoring his impact throughout the tournament where Canada finished fourth.

Meanwhile, Edwards is already making an impact in the WNBA after recently being acquired by the Connecticut Sun in a trade with the Washington Mystics. The Kingston, Ont. native put up a solid performance against the Minnesota Lynx, finishing with 11 points, five rebounds, and two assists while shooting an efficient 50% from the field in the 94-70 loss. Edwards last represented at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
