Kassius Robertson and Quinn Dornstauder have been selected as the Toyota Players of the Week for the week of October 18-24.
Robertson had a big game in an ACB win for Monbus Obradoiro (Spain) leading his team in scoring with 20 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Before heading to Europe to play professionally in 2018, the Toronto native attended Canisius College (NCAA) for three seasons before transferring to the University of Missouri (NCAA) for his senior year. During his season with Missouri, Robertson led the team in points, won two SEC Player of the Week Awards and earned All-SEC First-Team honours. Most recently, the 6'3" guard made his Canadian National Team debut at the FIBA AmeriCup 2021 Qualifiers in February and played for the Niagara River Lions this past summer in the CEBL Summer Series.
Dornstauder led the Castors Braine (Belgium) in their 81-67 win over Liege, with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 1 seal and a block, while shooting 7/8 from the field. Before playing professionally in Spain, the 6’4” centre from Regina, Saskatchewan attended Arizona State University (NCAA) where she finished 3rd on Arizona’s all-time career list for most blocks (138) and was named to the Pac-12’s All-Academic team in each of her last three seasons. Dornstauder has played in 59 games for Canada, most recently at the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup and the FIBA Olympic Prequalifying Tournament in 2019.
